Countrypolitan is a fascinating read. Rick Eddins' story affirms the notion that country sensibilities make city sense. Rick brings the country values of hard work, discipline and a can-do attitude to big city government and in doing so affirms the notion that one man can still make a difference. His story reminds us of the promise of good government and the threat of government gone awry. It is a thoughtful and thought-provoking story that will make you both proud of the American political process and more than a little concerned about its future.

Countrypolitan is very interesting and a good read. I loved the stories about your family and the praise! The things you went through in the House, and the accomplishments you made, were most thought provoking.

Rich Eddins has never been afraid to call it like he sees it. Sometimes we don't want to hear what he's saying, but we should all listen. In "Call Me a Countrypolitan" Eddins gives us and intriguing look into the influences that made him one of North Carolina’s leading legislators in the early part of this century.
